Merit Badges - Boy Scouts only

The Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation, Inc. invites Boy Scouts to explore the world of railroading and discover the wonders of electricity. Boy Scouts can earn their Electricity Merit Badge and/or Railroad Merit Badge at the historic Interurban Railroad Museum, 901 E. 15th Street, Plano, TX 75074. 

Merit Badge classes will be held the fourth Saturday of each month at 9:00am and 10:45am. Please make reservations by emailing Six Boy Scouts are required before a Merit Badge class will be held. A Merit Badge class is approximately one and a half hours. The Charge is a $15.00 donation per Merit Badge for each Boy Scout. Please pre-pay by check or cash by mailing to The Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation, ATT: Boy Scout Director, 901 E. 15th Street, Plano TX, 75074. 

All Boy Scouts must read the Boy Scouts Merit Badge book and check the Boy Scout's website for any additional information and the required work sheets. Please attempt to have all Merit Badge work sheets completed when you come to the Interurban Railway Museum. Our counselors will help with any questions you have but will not sign off until all work is completed. Please bring your green cards. 

Tours - Cub through Boy Scout Troops

All aboard to tour the Interurban Railway Museum and Historic Railway Car 360! Hours are 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday, and Saturdays 1:00pm to 5:00pm. There is a donation of $2.00 per Boy Scout, adults are free. Please email for reservations.
